Organized into 2 series:Scope and Content of the Collection
The Women's Events Collection is an artificial collection formed of items relating to events and exhibits about women's history or women's issues. There are two series: Series I covers those events sponsored or co-sponsored by Georgia State University's Women's Studies Institute, University Library and Special Collections, and other GSU departments. Series II covers events sponsored by non-GSU groups or organizations such as the Atlanta Women's Foundation, the Georgia Women's Assembly, and Spelman College. The collection was begun in 1997 and is ongoing. Formats include video and audio recordings, flyers, photographs, programs, etc. received from various donors and sources.
