The Southern Labor
Archives Photographs Collection is comprised of the photographic components of
manuscript collections and collections that contain only photographic
materials. When possible, the title of the collection links to the finding aid
for the associated collection.
Scope and Content of the Southern Labor Archives Photographs
The photograph collections include largely black-and-white and color
photographs, but also include slides, negatives, and other photograpic formats.
The date range is approximately 1880-1990. Included are photographs of union
members, leaders, and advocates performing day-to-day and union activities:
work, strikes, marches, meetings, celebrations, ceremonies, contract signings,
conventions, and presentations.
