Scope and Content of the Papers

The Roma Heaney Collection consists of a seventeen page paper examining the introduction of industrial work procedures in the southern pine industry during the first two decades of the 20th century, primarily in Louisiana by the Louisiana Long Leaf Lumber Company in its company town of Fisher.


Biography of Roma Heaney

Roma Heaney presented at the 1981 Citadel Conference on Southern History in Charlestown, South Carolina. She earned degrees at the University of Glasgow and the University of Pennsylvania, and served as Director of Institutional Research at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 1986.
