Description | Number six in a series of nine photographic prints sent to the Atlanta Journal Magazine from the Headquarters, Georgia Military District (101 Cone Street, Atlanta 3, Georgia) on March 29, 1948. Transmittal letter from Rex R. Kerr, Captain, Asst. Public Information Officer, filed with the prints. The letter states that the prints: "Inclosed [sic] herewith are photos taken at the Contact Camp, March 20-21 at Fort Benning, Ga., at which nearly 500 Reserve Officers attended." The "particulars" of Picture #6: "A recoiless [sic] rifle demonstration team." |
