Voices of Labor Oral History Project
Voices of Labor Oral History Project

In the fall of 1994 the Southern Labor Archives initiated an oral history project to gather the stories of key figures in the local, state, and regional labor movement. Despite a rich labor heritage, most accounts of Georgia's past have overlooked its workers and their unions. This project seeks to correct this omission and fill in gaps through interviews, autobiographical in nature, covering the subject's personal background, work history, participation in the labor movement, and in key events and developments in local labor history. The Southern Labor Archives, part of Special Collections and Archives at Georgia State University Library, continues to seek subjects. Please contact Special Collections and Archives if you would like to recommend an interviewee or if you are interested in being interviewed yourself.
